Wayne,

As far back as Unix v6 (for a quaint old processor called the PDP-11) the only characters forbidden for use in Unix path names were the slash and the NUL.

Just out of curiosity, are there any Unix or Unix-alike systems with Unicode file name support? Linux? Windows?
