... but this *is* exactly the problem. I have to chmod after each
installation again ... ! I don't know why setup is setting the owner to 544.
If it would set it to my id, anything would be OK.
BTW: The setting of group 544 in my passwd entry was done following the
recommendation in the FAQ (ding, ding, ding ... someone read it ... <g>),
but it has no influence on this problem anyway.
To answer Jason's question: No, installation is done for all/unix.
