RE: openssh 3.4p1-4. Error starting sshd service


/var/lohg/ssh.log says:
"Bad owner or mode for /var/empty"

Inside Cygwin, I see this owner and modes for that directory:
drwxr-xr-x    2 Administ Administ        0 Jul 29 17:58 empty

In the windows side, the directory has the "everybody - Full control" ACL.

The same thing happened in another windows machine when upgrading from
Openssh 3.0.2-p15 to Openssh3.4p1-4

That was a bit drastic!

You might find a helpful error message in /var/log/sshd.log
