- Subject: Son of son of SSH & Cygwin; scp and sftp
I'm having some pretty weird problems here...
I was just able to access my ssh shell with my
alternate user if I use a blank password and
both PermitEmptyPasswords and
PasswordAuthentication == yes.
Something to do with key communications?
What is sshd missing that would cause the child
to die when I try to access this using DSA?
Also, when I am able to finally access the shell,
if I try to scp a file back, I get:
"bash: no job control in this shell" and it dumps
me into the ssh remote shell session which
hangs when I try to enter any commands...
forcing me to kill the session with ^C, making
the command I entered execute locally, or killing
the cygwin console.
Trying with sftp just causes it to hang after it
prints "Connecting to localhost". The sshd log
says that it accepted connections no problem
on both sides.
Running with verbose debug doesn't tell me
anything new.
Help.
