This should have worked, unless you don't have /bin/sh installed.
Try "system(NULL)" and check the return code.  See "man system"
for details.

You should really escape your backslashes (i.e. "cmd /c
c:\\users\\mmurdoch... etc").  Other than that, this will have the same
issues as the first one.
