- Subject: Getting httpd going as a service
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has sucessfully got apache going as a service? I
installed it as a service and worked for about 5 minutes but then would not
tender to clients, although the daemon was still in listening state. I then
tried to run it through inetd but same symptons as before, only running for
5 minutes. Just incase ive missed something...
$ cygrunsrv -I httpd -d "CYGWIN httpd" -p /usr/bin/httpd -a '-k'
(no output, normal right???)
$ cygrunsrv -S httpd
(no output again, httpd started)
$ lynx http://212.135.179.210/
(works for 5 minutes) after five doesnt tender output)
If i start it notmally from a shell it runs perfectly, but to have do do
that all the time is a pain. Im not sure what what to debug and how. Any
help on this would be great :)
Elfyn
