How long did you leave setup "hanging" for?  If you haven't downloaded a
snapshot from <>, you are likely to be
the victim of a "rush job" traversal algorithm for the package list (see
<>).  This should be
fixed in the 2.358 snapshot.  Or you could simply wait "a minute"
