Already tried that. Doesn't work. I also tried:

set LC_ALL=de_DE.iso-8859-1
set LC_ALL=de_DE.ISO-8859-1
set LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF-8
set LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF8
set LC_ALL=de_DE.utf8

Doesn't change anything.
