Nope, my reply was not inadvertent (I mentioned quoting on purpose).

We mention http://cygwin.com/acronyms/#TOFU for a reason, because that's
what we prefer on this list.  By top-posting this comment, you've gone and
done exactly what you said you weren't going to do, so you're not
representing yourself very well.

Thanks.  However, that raw copy is something I chose.
http://cygwin.com/acronyms/#PCYMTNQREAIYR states: "Of course, there may be
other raw e-mail addresses in messages, e.g., in signatures, but that's
the choice of the person sending the message."

We only ask that you take time to munge addresses in headers, without
worrying about sigs (although, if your mailer is truly RFC-compliant, any
text after a line containing only "-- ", such as my sig, would be
automatically omitted from your reply).
