Nice one Nik.
Its a question I've been pondering recently.
I've been looking at a topic map as a means of indexing the xslt faq.
No matter how I organise it, the indexing is always receiving 'comment'.
The theory goes that I auto-generate the 'topics' from the questions,
as topic elements, using XSLT. Then manually generate the associations
between topics.
This mandates unique id values as the faq grows, not possible
with the XSLT function generate-id().
Unique within file + qandsect is *an* answer, or re-write the
files to do a one off insert id values is another one.
Unfortunately I don't always add new questions at the end of
a qandasect (I have one per file), so I could still run into trouble.
A 'fixed' unique id value as a permanent value is an ideal; I could
then manually add id values for each new entry.
