I've tried to get Xalan working few times without any success. I've
also heard about some chunking problems with the 1.2 release of
Xalan. If you don't want to end up getting the latest sources from the
CVS-Repository, you should look for another XSLT-Engine.
After playing with XT a little bit, I started to use SAXON from
Michel Kay (http://users.iclway.co.uk/mhkay/saxon/index.html).
I think right now this is the best working XSLT-Engine for the actual
DocBook Stylesheets. Maybe you should take a look at it and prevent
yourself of a lot of error searching ;-)
Ciao,
Ali.
P.S: This mail is not mentioned to start a flamewar about the
XSLT-Engines. This is just a short summary about my very own
experiences during the last weeks. This doesn't mean that
Xalan doesn't work ;-)
