chapter labels in JavaHelp

Can anyone tell me how to turn off the automatic labelling of
chapters when using the JavaHelp style sheet? I want the chapter
names to appear without the "Chapter #." label.
I've tried the standard <xsl:param name="chapter.autolabel"/>
parameter, which turns off numbering, but still adds "Chapter ." to
my output. I've also tried customizing html/component.xsl without
much success.
