There is one workaround which *could* work for you. Get file
profiling/xsl2profile.xsl from the latest release. Then generate new
version of fo/profile-docbook.xsl based on fo/docbook.xsl from release
which works with your tools:
xsltproc -o fo/profile-docbook.xsl profiling/xsl2profile.xsl fo/docbook.xsl
I'm almost sure that this will work.
