I suspect it is coming from the table template, in
fo/formal.xsl.  If the table @pgwide attribute is "1", then
it outputs span="all" on the fo:block containing the table.
Otherwise it outputs span="none" on the block.

I don't see why XEP gives you a warning.  Certainly
span is a valid property on fo:block.  Is the fact that
the page is single column the problem?

I'm not able to duplicate this error with the 1.60.1 stylesheets
and XEP 3.4.2.
