[docbook-apps] DocBook/XML -> info (TeXinfo)?

Hello,

there was a question about the other way, but I need this
one: I want to do "single source publishing" with
DocBook/XML and generate info pages for Emacs users. There
is docbook2X (.sourceforge.net), which works, but I have a
problem with the tool:

To set the INFO-DIR-SECTION etc. one has to use processing
instructions. I would prefer XSL parameters, which don't
need to be in the source file. Worse, the PI stuff didn't
work for me, but maybe I did sth. wrong. Has anybody used
this successfully?

Btw, docbook2X comes with it's own specialised XSLT
processor, which is derived from xsltproc. Does a solution
exist with "pure" XSLT?

Cheers,
