Re: DAVENPORT: language support

/ Stefan Seefeld <seefelds@magellan.umontreal.ca> was heard to say:
| having had a quick look into the docbook documentation
| I find only specifications for documenting APIs in C.
| Are there activities to support other languages, especially
| object oriented ? I'm most interested in IDL and C++.

I floated a proposal for adding support for additional,
especially OO, languages including IDL and C++.

There has been relatively little comment, but I may include it
in my stylesheets shortly and provide it as an extension, just to
encourage people to give it a try.

In the meantime, I'd certainly appreciate any feedback you
might have. You'll find the proposal in two messages from
the archives:

  http://docbook.org/mailinglist/archive/1935.html
  http://docbook.org/mailinglist/archive/1937.html

I think I resubmitted the proposal more recently, but I haven't
updated the online archives recently.

                                        Cheers,
                                          norm
