Re: Re: xsl guidance requested for website-2.3

Hi,

By default, any stylesheets and DTDs that are not included

I occasionally get such messages when doing web access to
the DocBook stylesheets. After downloading docbook.xsl it has to also download all the xsl:includes, several
dozen stylesheet files. Usually the problem seems to be a network
glitch, because it usually works with repeated attempts.
I'd be curious to hear if repeated attempts produced
the same failure while reading common/common.xsl, or if
it reports different files. I currently have no problem
downloading over the web.
I got error messages on reading different files each time I tried. Even after using local xsl files, I time to time get error messages like connection time out, but it goes well on repeating again.

I've submitted an XML catalog file to the Website source tree
to make it easier to redirect such remote accesses to local
files without having to edit the Website stylesheets.

I have not tried catalog yet -- I think I should try that some time.

Thanks.

Hi,

After replacing http://docbook.sourceforge.net/realeas...../docbook.xsl
and chunker.xsl, imported in at least two xsl files, with local files, it
worked.
Still, it would be nice to know, if possible, what had happened in those
links.

Hi,

My apology the error message I received has to be as follows:

"http://docbook.sourceforge.net/release/xsl/current/html/docbook.xsl: Line
27; Column 43; XSLT Error
(javax.xml.transform.TransformerConfigurationException):
javax.xml.transform.TransformerException:
javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: Had IO Exception with stylesheet
file: ../common/common.xsl"

I got the above on my 2nd run with minor editing on my xsl file.

Thanks,

Damar

Arnaud,

Thanks for your prompt response. It seems like what I am looking for. It,
however, gave me following error message:

"http://docbook.sourceforge.net/release/xsl/current/html/docbook.xsl; Line
32; column 44; XSLT Error
(javax.xml.transform.TransformerConfigurationException):
javax.xml.transform.TransformerException:
javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: Had IO Exception with stylesheet
file: ../common/.targes.xsl"

I simply copied the content of <xsl:template name="home.navhead"> into
<xsl:template name="allpages.banner">.

chunk-tabular.xsl is included in my xsl file, and I am using website-2.3.

Can some one point me what I have done wrong, or what I have not done
here?

Any pointer would be highly appreciated.

Damar
