no, i was under the impression that that element was for
*documenting* command syntax, not so much for inserting into
a screen as userinput.
i'll give it a shot, but i'm thinking it will have the
same problem as my original situation.
i'll try it and let you know, since i'm pretty sure
what i'm trying should be fairly common.
