You should be able to use the Linux release on other Unix hosts.
Various people have done this on e.g. Solaris. Obviously you will need
to rebuild the host-side tools, especially ecosconfig, and the release
includes a file host/README with information on how to do this. If you
go to http://sources.redhat.com/ml/ecos-discuss/ and search the
mailing list archive for Solaris, that may give some additional hints.
