You don't say what processor you're trying to configure/build for. You also
don't say what version of the gcc sources you're trying to build. This
would be helpful information :)
My personal experience has been that trying to build a gcc _snapshot_ on
Windows under Cygwin (either Win2000 or Win98) is very problematic. The gcc
2.95.2 sources do however build without problems under cygwin on Win2000
(at least for the ARM target).
If you are having problems with a gcc snapshot, then go back to the source
version that's mentioned in the "downloading and installation" guide for
your particular eCos platform. Or try using Linux as your development
platform; it will have many fewer kinks.
