General questions MII and current Ethernet drivers:
Reviewing the MOT FEC driver and the MII interface. The question is:
What happens if the MII interface (Ethernet) was plugged from a 100 full
duplex to a 10 half duplex connection? Should the MII registers be read and
the FEC changed from full duplex to half? i.e. the X_CNTRL Register bit 29?
Most MAC have a half and full duplex mode so should not the MII register be
polled to reflect changes in connection information? Some MACs even need to
detect speed changes?
Any input?
