I recommend you switch to a newer configuration tool - this problem occurs
with the old configuratino tool with recent versions of cygwin. Go to
http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/anoncvs.html and read the section "Updated
configuration tools for Windows" (including the last paragraph about using
1.3.1).
