I am using Windows 2000 with cygwin.
I tried command under the contrib sub-directory:
./egcs_update --touch
[Error Message]
This doesn't seem to be an egcs tree!
I don't know what I did wrong.

Looks like you are executing the command from the wrong path. Maybe try
prefixing it with "./"
