Urgent help needed-i386 target .. please respond.

Hi,

I am trying to run a sample program in my i386 target machine. My host is a
Windows XP/Cygwin. My target machine is set ready and is booted up with
Redboot. I know that i can connect to my target from host using gdb and
serial port. I don't need that. I am looking for a more easier method.
Well my exact needs are listed below.

1. Can i copy the binaries of the hello.c application to a floppy and boot
the target machine (i386 PC) with that floppy. Upon booting i expect to see
"Hello ecos world" on my target screen. Can any one give me a step by step
procedure for it.

2. Is there any nice books for eCos, some thing like "Running linux", which
could easily guide through this mind boggling issues of setting up my
target and later developing application for it.

3. Is there a stable version of repository available in the net, which i can
download through http. FTP's are blocked sometimes in my office.
