Ok, so I've built the GNU Toolchain which is now living happily in
/usr/local/gnutools and I've done a configure/gmake on the ecos-2.0
sources, but the install still fails. I do get a copy of ecosconfig
installed in /usr/local and libcdl.a is installed in /usr/local/lib.
However, many things are not installed and so none of the examples etc.
work yet.
In particular the ecos.db file isn't being put anywhere useful (it can't be
found even though it is in the packages directory.
So what I could use a description/list of what should be installed where
(given the prefix of /usr/local) and which out of the build tree and which
out of the packages. Then I can try to build the redboot sample and boot it
on a victim PC with a Intel pro/100 ethernet card.
Things that I have are:
/usr/local/bin/ecosconfig
/usr/local/lib/libcdl.a
/usr/local/include/pkgconf
hostinfra.h infra.h
/usr/local/gnutools/bin/i386-* (everything is here as expected)
