Help on installing redboot on a laptop

I'm trying to install redboot on my laptop but it juste won't work
I used ecos config tool :
1 : Tools -> template -> I386 redboot
2 : import /hal/ ... / REDBOOT_ROM.ecm or / REDBOOT_FLOPPY.ecm (tryed both)
3: copy on a floppy using dd
When i put the floppy in my laptop asking it to boot on the floppy drive it
searches the floppy but then displays "Operating System not found"
Can someone please help me ... by sending me a floppy image or telling me
what's wrong ...
