accessing 'RedBoot config' area within Linux via mtd

Subject: [ECOS] accessing 'RedBoot config' area within Linux via mtd

Greetings,

Is there a standard tool out there that allows access (get/set alias or config
vars) to the non-volatile 'RedBoot config' FIS area within Linux using the MTD
device?  It wouldn't be too difficult to write one if I dig through the RedBoot
source and find the data structure layout, but I would hate to re-invent the
wheel if a tool already exists.
