- Subject: [ECOS] problem creating 'redboot.bin' in cygwin for x86
Sir,
I have installed the ?eCos 2.
I am using ?eCos config tool v2.11? to create
?RedBoot.bin? on x86 board. I gone through the whole
process of:
- Build -> Templates
- File -> import
- Saved ?RedBoot.ecc? file at ?E:/red?
But on clicking ?Build -> Library? option for creating
?RedBoot.bin?, I am getting the following error:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cp: cannot create regular file
?/ecos-e/red/redboot_install/include/pkgconf/mlt_i386_pc_grub.ldi?:
Permission denied
Cp: cannot create regular file
?/ecos-e/red/redboot_install/include/pkgconf/mlt_i386_pc_floppy.ldi?:
Permission denied
Make [1]=***[
/ecos-e/red/redboot_install/include/pkgconf/mlt_i386_pc_grub.ldi]Error1
Make [1]=***[
/ecos-e/red/redboot_install/include/pkgconf/mlt_i386_pc_floppy.ldi]Error1
Make:***[headers]Error2
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While going through the folder ?redboot_build?, all
make files are created successfully but there is no
?.bin? file or folder in ?redboot_install?.
Thanks for going through my problem.
I gone through the ?ecos-discuss archives? there I got
the idea that may be this is occurring because of some
?bin mode vs text mode? thing. But the error what I am
getting is ?Permission denied?, and if this is the
problem of ?bin mode vs text mode? then even make
files should not be generated, I am getting error only
for creating ?mlt? (memory layout) files.
I don?t know, why I am getting this error. Please help
me, Sir.
Regards,
VENKAT KUMAR ANDE
