more (different) configtools problems (newbie questions?)

OK, now I've got two versions of configtool that seem to come up more or less working. However, I've got two remaining problems. I think one is a bug in configtool and one is due to ignorance.

First the bug. Often, when I bring up Configtool, it does not display the configuration tree. If I close all the other output windows (such as "short description, etc.), I see a number of lines or blank entries, with the number of top level configuration categories that should be displayed, but without any content in them. It is as if configtool is trying to display the configuration tree but has a bug in its refresh logic.

I have gotten myself unwedged from this situation before, but I really haven't figured out how I did it. At present, the EcosPro version of configtool comes up in this weird state, but the one I got from Cygwin (not the release version, which has another bug, but a patched version) does not display the problem. However, I have seen this problem with the Cygwin version as well.

Has anyone else seen this problem? When it happens, it stops me dead in my tracks.

Now the newbie question. If I bring up the Redboot template for my Kwikbyte EcosPro release, a number of the configuration checkboxes in the configuration tree are greyed out, making them seemingly read-only. I haven't figured out why this is, or how to resolve the situation. What I am trying to do is set a default IP address, so that I don't have to have my PC issue BootP commands before I can use the ethernet port on the eval board.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but can some one help me out?

Thanks!

- Andy
