Re: Regarding GLOBAL OFFSET TABLE

Hi,
Could you please tell me where _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_
is defined in the eCos code for MPC8260.
In the file "arch\current\src " ,there is a statement
# Set up global offset table
lwi r2,_GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_
I analyzed the code, but I could not find where GLOBAL OFFSET
TABLE(GOT) is defined .
Could you please tell me ..
what are the contents of GOT table ?
how much memory is allocated for GOT ?
Which file contains GOT initialization ?
This is all pure magic, handled by gcc/ld. The symbol itself
is defined by the linker script to point at the section which
contains .got entries.
AFAIK, the EABI compiler does not generate any such sections,
but the code is in place in case we ever run into any.
