We don't know if in a particular platform both ports are available as in
the M5272C3 board.
Given how the diagnostic serial port code for M5272C3 is written, you can
configure serial port number 2 as a diagnostic port only if serial port 1
is also configured as such.
Unfortunely, I will be able to experiment any changes to the code, and give
you precise answers to your questions, only after the first week of January
2006, because now I don't have access to the board.
