Well, although I do not use e7000, I do use the H8 simulator to test the h8
port of gcc.
The problem with the h8 port of gdb is that it comes with a stub for an old
debug monitor software called CMON. These days they use something called
HDI-MON that works with HDI (Hitachi Debugging Interface) that runs on
Windows.
