What I suggest makes one of them a CVS command away, that's all.

The situation I fear is that the latest gdb-mi.el will not work with a
recent Emacs release.  We already had that with gdba.el, remember?

Anyway, I think the opinions are clear.  If you want to override my
objections, go ahead.
