Just an idea.
There are a number of systems derived from GDB around. ``(gdb960)'' is one - the prompt is different. Insight is another, it comes up in GUI mode.
Suggest having a .c file (one per configuration) that is used to build separate independant images. Insight would then be built to start up as insight, gdb as gdb, gdb960 as gdb960, tui as tui et.al.
