Hello,
This bug report was filed against gdb 5.1.1 with gcc 2.96 -gstabs+.
gdb 5.1.1 is too old. The current release is gdb 5.3, with gdb 5.3.92 prerelease available for testing.
I am closing this bug report. If you have a similar problem with gdb 5.3 or gdb 5.3.92, I would be happy to look at a fresh bug report.
