>Environment:
native hppa2.0w-hp-hpux11.11
texinfo 4.7
hpux make
>Description:
I get a build error with gdb 6.1 and gdb 6.1.0.95:
makeinfo --split-size=5000000 -I /house/chastain/gdb/s2/gdb/doc/../../readline/doc -I /house/chastain/gdb/s2/gdb/doc/../mi -I /house/chastain/gdb/s2/gdb/doc \
-o gdb.info /house/chastain/gdb/s2/gdb/doc/gdb.texinfo
/house/chastain/gdb/s2/gdb/doc/gdb.texinfo:6961: warning: @strong{Note:} produces a spurious cross-reference in Info; reword to avoid that.
gdb.info: Bad address
makeinfo: Removing output file `gdb.info' due to errors; use --force to preserve.
*** Error exit code 1
I'm using texinfo 4.7.
This does not happen with cvs versions of gdb; both gdb gdb_6_1-branch and gdb HEAD build fine.
This is not a regression from 6.1 to 6.1.0.95 because it's broken the same way in both versions.
>How-To-Repeat:
Build texinfo 4.7 from the tarball and add its installation directory to your $PATH.
Build gdb 6.1 or gdb 6.1.0.95 from the tarball on native hppa2.0w-hp-hpux11.11, using texinfo 4.7.
