Hello,
First, drop the "sun4". gdb autmatically detects the type of system you are on, which is native i686-pc-linux-gnu.
Next, the problem with "tgetent". gdb needs a version of the curses screen library. On red hat linux, these are the packages "ncurses" and "ncurses-devel".
Please install these two packages and try building gdb again.
