Put simply I've had no luck.
10.20, configured with 'CC=cc -Ae' ..../configure dies in libiberty:
cc -Ae -c -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -g -I.

Configure in
/es/scratch/cagney/51/gdb/behemoth-hppa64-hp-hpux11.00/opcodes failed,
exiting.
