- Subject: Thoughts? New chapter: ``Advanced Features''
Hello,
GDB is starting to accumulate a number of ``Advanced Features'' (aka
obscure features). Immediatly to mind are:
- tracepoints
- overlays
but other candidates would include:
- gcore
- that dump (yes, I know,
I'm fixing some infrastructure)
I think that while such features are important they really done qualify
for a separate chapter. What do people think of creating a new chapter
``Advanced Features'' and moving this stuff to there. Could even
structure this chapter using a fairly set style:
advanced features
feature
tutorial
reference
feature
...
(I'm thinking that the more examples the better :-)
If we don't, I get the feeling that the GDB documentation will just
continue to accumulate lots of small chapters (but then people might
prefer that?).
Thoughts? Eli?
