By the way, in case anyone didn't have the instructions handy, here's the page about the Apple public cvs server: http://developer.apple.com/darwin/tools/cvs/howto.html

In short, do

cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.opensource.apple.com:/cvs/root login ("anonyous") cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.opensource.apple.com:/cvs/root co gdb
