This is ok to put on the archer task list, if you want to put it there.

I didn't like this patch when I first saw it, but maybe I was misreading
it.  On first read it looked like it didn't fully update obstacks.

I wonder how important this is now that we mmap the debuginfo.
Do we have a test case for it?
