If you need to read up on the rules of sorting, the glibc bugzilla
is not the correct place to look for references.
Perhaps <URL: http://www.student.uit.no/~pere/linux/glibc/> can
give you some pointers. If not, google is your friend.
LANG=C is not the same as english sorting order. LANG=en_US
will show similar sorting.
The reason MacOSX do sort the same way no matter the locale, is because
it do not have the concept of locale dependent sorting order.
