determinant.




Hi. I can't seem to find a general routine for computing determinants or
inverses of a matrix in gsl. I'm also shocked to see that BLAS doesn't
provide a determinant. I'm only surprised probably because I don't know
the philosophy behind either library.
Could someone explain to my why these simple functions aren't provided?
Specifically, I wanted to compute the normalization constant of a 
multidimensional gaussian and can find no support in either BLAS or gsl.
