Thanks for the bug report.
Is the downgraded gcc officially supplied by Redhat, or did it come
from somewhere else?
I have not seen those errors before. The version of the compiler
should be ok. I use gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)
I can only suggest using the debugger to take a closer look and see
whether the behavior is valid or not, as you step through the code.
For example to see where the value 5.80888e+17 in the first error line
comes from, because it looks like a corrupt value.

make -k check will continue after errors
use make -k check >log 2>&1
