wait a sec. i just found documentation saying that the lower charactors were supported. "ff" (number twelve) i believe has been renamed "page". therefore (write-char #\page) should clear the screen. but it dosn't. does guile set the screen to some strange mode uppon startup? > I am not sure I can help.
