Cygnus-B19 and guile


Thanks to all with the automake hints.  Upgrading to 1.3 and running
the whole aclocal; automake ; autoconf ; configure deal fixed things.
I'd actually figured out that (cd libguile ; make alist.x ...) served
as a work-around.

Now, I saw a note in the acknowledgements about getting things running
under Windows NT with the Cygnus package.  I've got version B-19
installed, but configure dies, complaining it can't find a valid 'ld',
though in fact there does seem to be one.

Is it worth pushing through on this?  Are there likely to be just a
few things out of date, or was this never really done before?  Or is
someone already doing it?
