version warning suppressed?

I'm getting this warning whenever I start snd with
guile loaded:

/user/b/bil/linux/snd/ snd ~/cl/oboe.snd
snd: warning: different versions of libguile and ice-9:
snd: libguile: configured on Mon Aug 10 11:31:56 PDT 1998
snd: ice-9:    configured on Mon Aug 10 11:51:55 PDT 1998

which I believe comes from boot-9.scm.  I'd like to
suppress this somehow (I'm not the one who installs
libraries here, so the configuration business is not
in my control).

(This is running linux, redhat 5.0 with glibc etc).
