I moved them there and fixed the permissions on the directory in
question.

Perhaps it would be wise to submit the patch in question and an
appropriate
patch to the .spec file as a bug report against Red Hat RawHide, then at
least
RH 6.0's standard Guile will not be painfully slow due to a silly
one-liner typo
even if guile 1.3.1 does not come out in time.
