	IIRC, Olin Shivers send (this list?) a message saying that he
      would try to get the *.scm parts of scsh released into the
      public domain (so that we could use a guile back-end to scsh
      instead of a scheme48 one).  Therefore a port would be
      unnecessary. 

	Does you know what became of this?

	Maybe Olin should be prodded again? ;^)
