while thinking again about the {generic function}/{module system}
tension discussed here recently, I suddenly started to think about
other things which might benefit from special treatment by the module
system.
as of this minute, I can think of two such things, and there may be
more.
* readtable extensions. so a module can extend the readtable to grok,
for example, things that look like '#,(<stuff>)', etc., and the
module system will combine such extensions at link time.
* [ redundant item ] generics.
I guess we really should think of a general MOP-styled interface to
such things...
